This student teaching binder is everything you need whether you are a student teacher or a mentor teacher!
The student teacher binder is my absolute favorite product in my Teachers Pay Teachers store! I created it fresh out of college, just after I finished an entire year of student teaching. Yep, you read that right… an entire YEAR! But more about that later!
Student teaching was such a great experience, thanks to my mentor teacher, and now I can say I’ve also had the privilege of sharing my own classroom with an amazing student teacher.
Throughout both experiences, I learned that organization and communication are essential to a productive student teaching experience.
This binder was created with both the mentor teacher and student teacher in mind. It is completely editable and allows you to customize each page to fit your needs. It is divided into six easy to use sections to help you stay organized and on top of everything!
Keeping all of the things in one place will help your student teaching experience be as smooth as possible.
One of the things I love most about this binder is its’ versatility! You can gift it to your student teacher, or you can create your own binder to bring with you on your first day! Your mentor teacher will be SO impressed!
Now.. here’s a peek inside the binder!

1. Classroom Information

Every school is SO different and has their own sets of procedures and policies. It is important that both the mentor teacher and student teacher are on the same page! This leads to consistency and success for the students! Dedicating a space to keep all of this information means it is right at your fingertips when you need it!
2. Classroom Schedule

Schedules are vital! You want to know what time the bell rings, lunch is served, and when instruction is happening. This will help you understand daily routines and plan for anything out of the ordinary each week.
